Moby offers public bike rental in Ireland and as such you can only park a Moby bike at public bike racks which are located inside our operating zone.
1. Park the bike next to an approved Bike Rack found on the in-app map (Green out section)
2. Secure the cable around the bike stand and place the loop at the end of the cable next to the lock so that the bolt in the lock slides through the cable loop. The lock should beep, letting you know the lock is secure.
3. Tap 'End Trip' in our app.
4. The app will request a picture of the bike properly parked. After you snap a photo that has a bike and lock on it, you submit it and the ride will end automatically followed by a beep sound from the bike. You will receive a pop-up confirmation that the bike was successfully returned.
The customer MUST be beside the bike during the whole process with the app opened because it uses the GPS location and internet of the phone.
For Moby Pedal bikes, put the cable over a Sheffield stand and use the loose end to go through the lock.
You have to make sure that the bike is parked correctly and that it is not obstructing the paths of pedestrians or other vehicles. IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO LOCK ON POLES, FENCES, LAMP POSTS, RAILINGS OR LEFT UNLOCKED.
Bikes left outside the parking area mentioned above will incur a 30EUR penalty.
