To start a ride:
- Select the Eastpoint E-Scooters scheme in the profile section -> Cities and Ride Plans
- Locate a Moby vehicle on the map in the app or on the street.
- If you’ve located a vehicle on the map, tap on the e-scooter or e-bike to navigate to the vehicle.
- You can tap the “Scan” button to open camera and scan the QR code on the vehicle to start your ride.
Note: Our scooters require a cable lock. Once you have scanned the QR code, the cable lock would drop open for you to be able to detach. Always make sure, when ending the ride that you use cable lock to fasten the vehicle to a stand.
If you have any issues starting your ride, the following troubleshooting options may help.
Troubleshooting:
- QR Code is damaged/unreadable: You can enter the QR code number from the vehicle on the app manually to start your ride.
- QR Code can’t be read but is not damaged: Tap the flashlight icon on the QR scan screen before attempting to scan the QR code
- The plate number is damaged/unreadable: Please find an alternate vehicle while we fix the issue on this one. Please report it to us through the app so we can fix the issue as quickly as possible.
- The app shows an error:
- If the error is because of a vehicle issue, our team is aware of it and they are on the way to retrieve it. Please try again with a different nearby vehicle.
- If the error is due to a missing payment method, insufficient balance, or a pre-authorization failure, add or update your payment method. Once you have updated your information, try again.
In case of the lock or the App does not open, please close your App, and wait for 15 seconds. Reopen the app and try the whole process again, before contacting us. Sometimes, it is only an updating problem.
