Sometimes due to a network interruption, the lock closed information doesn't reach your app in time and you can receive an error that tells you that the rental cannot be ended as the lock is open even though you can see the lock is closed correctly.
In this case, click on "Unlock bike" on your rent screen and scan the lock again and this will open the lock for you. You can see in the screenshot below, the button available to unlock bike and that will open the inbuilt camera to scan the QR code again.
Try at least two times and if that doesn't work, the error might be mechanical. Once you are able to open the lock again, close a second time and that should do the trick and allow you to close your rental and end the ride.
If this troubleshooting doesn't work, no need to stress at all, just shoot as an email or give us a call and we will make sure you don't get charged any extra for your rental.

I see this on your website now but found this very stressful yesterday.
It'd be really helpful if this message flashed up after two or three failed attempts to lock…..
